Review of UK Philanthropy in 2008
Just published in the new Charity Finance Yearbook and freely accessible here http://www.kent.ac.uk/sspssr/cphsj/documents/cf-yearbook09-p198-200.pdf this short article, written by CPHSJ researcher Beth Breeze, describes the biggest donations made last year, reviews the key trends and predicts what's to come in 2009.
Establishing links between Kent and Australia
Dr Iain Wilkinson, Director of CPHSJ, has just returned from a 3 week sabbatical at Monash University in Melbourne where he worked as a visiting scholar in their Department of Sociology. We hope in future to develop a cross-national study of philanthropy in the UK and Australia which will involve staff from CPHSJ working in collaboration with colleagues at Monash.
